The question typically leads to physical geography where- 

1. the straightforward demand is just to explain the reason 
2. why don't have deltas formation on Western Ghat.
3. Please note we don't need to go into the formation process of the deltas on the Western Ghat, but 
4. the factors that are indispensable for the formation of deltas that we are not finding over the Western Ghat.

Answer-

Introduction-01

Every river, in general, has 03 stages which are decided with the slope gradient and the resultant topographical features/ landforms, in which, the delta formation is a third stage feature having lowest slope gradient resulting in high amount of sediment depositions landforms, the delta.

Introduction-02

The water flow follow the slope gradient, along with, supplementary factors such as sediments quantity and horizontal topographical expansion, in addition of, minimum amount of erosional forces then we have the formation of deltas landform. So, if, on a place we don't have this combination certainly there are some geographical factors which we are going to analyses here.

     

    

      So, if, we do not have delta formation on the Western Ghats mainly 03 factors are responsible, -

1. first, is depositional rate variation, 
2. second, disproportional presence of coastal landforms, and, 
3. third season rainfall pattern.

      

Now, if we closely study eastern Ghat, in comparison to Western Ghat, the reasons are altogether different where we have a high quantity of sedimentation, so, -

1. higher rate of deposition, 
2. low slope gradient, and 
3. more horizontal distribution of receiving monsoon precipitation.

So basically, we are not finding the ideal geographical conditions for the formation of deltas on the Western Ghats.
